About Me
Helena Varik is one of Estoria’s most respected historical researchers, known for her detailed reconstructions of rural family lineages dating back to the 1500s. Raised in the coastal town of Merisal, she spent her childhood exploring abandoned farmsteads and collecting oral histories from elderly neighbors. After earning her doctorate in archival science, Varik founded the Estorian Heritage Mapping Project, which digitizes endangered parish collections. Her work has been credited with saving thousands of pages of deteriorating church records.
